This is so GREAT! And now you've gone and gotten all fancy with a video. Great job, Angela, it's very well-done. I've learned a lot from you, Mary!
Thanks Heidi! I'm still learning myself, but it's fun to post what I've learned. It's a very satisfying hobby and I really enjoy it a lot!
I agree! Angela did a great job on the video! There may be more in the future!
I just bought a Kitten Carder. What points per inch cloth is your carder? What fiber do you mostly use? I use alpaca.
Hi anonymous,
Mine is a 90/120. I use mine mostly for wool, wool/blends. I'll eventually be trying out some Llama on it as well.
This is an awesome video Mary! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering how you got that off of there in long color strips. :)
Thanks Anita!
It's still a learning curve for me, but I love sharing what I've learned! I really love spinning the roving that comes off the Kitten! It long draws so sweet, and makes for some really zen spin!
Hey...I can blog that! Zen Spin!!! I like it!
Hi Mary
Very informative video. I am looking at purchasing a fancy kitty carder and I think your video has made up my mind! One question - where did you get the bitzer to do the rovings? I am a true newbie to the fibre world and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Anonymous,
The "diz" I'm using is a button that a friend sent me. I believe she said that she found them at the Dollar Tree. Now you can also make your own out of a large bottle cap or milk cap by drilling a small hole too.
Hope that helps,
Mary
What a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
